SOCIETY FOR SEX THERAPY AND RESEARCH (SSTAR)
    SERVICE AWARD

The SSTAR Service Award recognizes that some individuals have contributed greatly to the evolution and history of the organization, a fact that may not have been sufficiently appreciated at the time. Hence the notion of a Service Award which allows for enduring memory. The provisions of the Award are as follows:

    1. The SSTAR Service Award (SSA) will be presented to a SSTAR member who has made significant and long-lasting contributions to the organization.

    2. The winner of the SSA will be chosen by the Executive Council at the fall meeting

    3. Presentation of the Award will take place in the Business Meeting at the Annual Meeting.

    4. The winner of the SSA will be given a plaque or any other testimony of the Award that seems appropriate. His/her name will be listed on the SSTAR Web site. There will be no monetary award.

    5. Any SSTAR member can nominate another member for the SSA.

    6. Nominations shall be submitted to the SSTAR President in the form of a letter or e-mail message. The submission should include a full explanation of the reasons for the nomination.

    7. Nominees should not be members of the existing Executive Council.

    8. The Award will only be given to a meritorious nominee and not necessarily on an annual basis.
